Hello!
My name is Jennifer and I'm a professional illustrator specializing in digital art. I'm from the United States, Missouri and I want to thank you for taking the time to look through my website.
I am proficient in Photoshop, ClipStudio, ArtStudio Pro, and Procreate and I've dabbled with Rebelle and Adobe Fresco. Yeah, I admit that I'm kind of a paint program enthusiast. But through exploring and mastering the different programs, it has given me a well rounded set of tools.
I am currently looking to illustrate for book covers.. I also do fantasy and dark fantasy commissions.
So if any of my portfolio or project pieces caught your eye and you would like to work with me, you can contact me here. I would love a chance to work with you and bring to life your creative thoughts.
A little more about me
My passion of fantasy and books started from when I was a child. My Mom loved books so when my Dad built her a home, he made every wall a bookshelf. So I basically grew up in a library. Best thing Ever! I loved looking at the exquisite cover illustration and thinking I want to do that. So I went to college with a major in Painting and Drawing. Several of my pieces were picked as top of class and displayed in the college gallery. One my art instructor asked if he could keep one. Of course he got it.
Then life happened as it does and I was forced to drop out of college after only finishing two years of my bachelors. I made up for it by taking every art class online I could find, reading books upon books and filling sketch books for the past 25 years.
I went digital roughly 15 years ago and have never looked back. I've done commissions along the way, both traditional and digital. Doing these I learned the importance of working closely with your client,, listening to them and their change requests to make their commission exactly what they are looking for. I also learned that consistent communication with the client gains trust and decreases stress on their part, especially if there is a time crunch involved. I know I would want updates on how things are going and what. rough finish time would be. How can I not expect that out of the client? But I have never strayed far from my love of fantasy and books. That passion has been the foundation of my artistic journey. I used to tell people that I drew fantasy because no one could tell me that I was doing it wrong. I have since learned that this is inaccurate. I draw fantasy because there are so many ways of expressing the myriad of fantastical worlds that we all can agree that they are right.
